Frequently Asked Questions

What is Desi Daru Vodka?

Desi Daru is a British-Indian vodka brand founded by Mohit and Aneet, crafted in England and inspired by Indian flavour and culture.

Made to be enjoyed neat, over ice, or mixed into cocktails
Two expressions: Desi Daru Original Vodka and Desi Daru Alphonso Mango Vodka
Built around a "two cultures, one spirit" story

What's the difference between Original Vodka and Alphonso Mango Vodka?

Desi Daru Original Vodka is a clean, smooth wheat vodka, while Desi Daru Alphonso Mango Vodka is naturally infused with real Alphonso mangoes for a bold, vibrant flavour.

Original: crisp, versatile, perfect for classic serves
Mango: rich, tropical, ideal for modern cocktails

Both are designed for sipping or mixing

How is your Alphonso Mango Vodka made?

We source Alphonso mangoes from Ratnagiri, India, macerate the fruit, and use a proprietary distillation process to create a true infusion, not just a flavoured vodka.

Real Alphonso mangoes, prized for their richness and aroma
Maceration to extract natural flavour from the fruit
Proprietary distillation for a full, infused character

How is your Original Vodka made?

Our Original Vodka is crafted from English winter wheat and distilled in a handcrafted column still for exceptional purity and smoothness.

English winter wheat from Oxfordshire (including Sundance)
Hand-crushed grains for depth of character
Distilled to a high purity for a smooth, clean finish

What does Desi Daru taste like, and how should I serve it?

Both vodkas are designed for cocktails, with simple serves that let the spirit shine.

Alphonso Mango Vodka: bright, tropical, with rich mango character. Try a Desi Mango Gimlet or a Mango Soda.
Original Vodka: clean, smooth, and balanced. Try a Chai Espresso Martini or a crisp vodka highball.
