Desi Daru was born from our shared journey as British-born Indians. We grew up with the aromas of fresh spices, the rhythms of Bollywood and the values of India at home, and the fast-paced energy of Britain outside. We’ve always lived between two cultures. Our parents arrived in the UK with nothing but determination, building a future from the ground up. This beautiful contrast between deep-rooted tradition and contemporary ambition became the inspiration behind Desi Daru.

CULTURE DISTILLED: THE FINEST ALPHONSO MANGO VODKA
Our Alphonso Mango Vodka is inspired by cherished memories of Indian mango season, a time of joy, celebration, and indulgence. We use only real, sun-ripened Alphonso mangoes, known as the “king of mangoes”, naturally infused without artificial flavours or shortcuts. Each bottle features a golden-orange gradient that mimics the mango’s ripening process: a visual and flavourful tribute to tradition, craftsmanship, and the fruits of our culture. It’s vibrant, tropical, and unmistakably Desi Daru.

We set out to create a vodka as genuine and authentic as our own story. Our Original Vodka is made using the finest English winter wheat, chosen for its purity and smooth character. We distil every batch in a custom-built 46-plate column still, refining it to an extraordinary 96% ABV before gently cutting it to strength. The result is a vodka of exceptional smoothness, clarity, and depth. It’s elegant and versatile, perfect for sipping or mixing into any cocktail.
